Underground Music Museum is curated by Bryan Baker of GAJOOB Magazine, Cassette Culture Shock Radio, HomemadeMusic.com, Tapegerm and more. My goal is to document, catalog and present a large library of music and related material: thousands of cassette, CDR and other albums independently made and distributed around the world by artists with often singular visions and consuming passions, along with related correspondence and other material. And an exit through the gift shop, just for fun.

  • Jeremy Gluck & Emily Griffiths – Slide

Drawing once again on the loops of the thriving Tapegerm Loop Community, this recording marks my return to purely solo work after a long time resting on the great remixes made of my pieces by many artists. Taking an old poem evoking a mystical experience following a fast, I invited Welsh voice Emily Griffiths to […]

  • Stephen George Smith – German Laughter

I had been reading a book about Germany, and their role in world war two, and, being of German heritage, I felt a lot of guilt. • Hoover’s G-String – Gargle CD

    Hoover’s G-String – Gargle CD

Archive #2060 See Hoover’s G-String Exhibit I have a feeling this band could make a real solid album in the near future. “Gargle” has most of elements squarely on-target, complete with great hooks and guitars. Think garage band with something much more in mind and you’ll have the idea. Bryan Baker, GAJOOB Online

Tom Furgas – OneOfAKind Disc 17 February 2007

Archive Item #5073 The main purpose of doing those was not to limit access to the music, but to make a unique recording that I wouldn’t have to mass produce. Or rather, mass production to the extent that I am able to do it. I think of those as akin to unique artworks rather than, […]
